I will forever be impressed by the thoughtfulness + detail they put into every aspect of planning their wedding day. From the cufflinks to the painted portraits, their personalities + relationship really showed through. Their seating chart was displayed on used books for people to then take as favors! Their wedding ended up being on one of the hottest days EVER in June; the humidity was out of this world, but their wedding party never complained + were quite literally, all smiles, all day.
Both Kat + Matt were involved with all aspects of wedding planning + were so respectful of one another's ideas + preferences. At the same time, they were incredibly relaxed, + present for every moment. I wasn't there at the end of the night, but it ended in a downpour + they ran out + played in the rain with their people :) so sweet.
Planners work for YOU, not the venue.
When a venue (even if this is someone's house!), has a point person that they call a "planner" or "coordinator," beware.
Of course, they are a great bonus! But they work for the venue (or if a homeowner, they have their home), + their interests are priority, not yours.
I'm here to bridge that gap. My #1 job as your event coordinator + wedding planner is to advocate + execute your needs!
"Back in my day a box of tissues cost $0.02!" - your grandma.
I get it. Things aren't cheap!
So let's sit down + have an honest conversation about your budget, your vision, + how we can make the two align. I usually start by asking what three things matter the most to you on your big day, + we build out from there.
You don't have to sacrifice your dreams to simply celebrate your love story!
Yes, I actually do read the fine print!
Contracts are a surefire way to protect you + the vendor(s) from mishaps. Additionally, contracts form a foundation for expectations!
For wedding management clients, I will ask you to share all signed contracts with me for review.
For full planning, wedding or other, I review vendor contracts before sending them along to you.
Email is the best way to communicate!
Using email creates a digital paper trail so that we can refer back to old thoughts, track conversations and plan for next steps.
